The heart of any city is its roadways and infrastructure, serving as the arteries that keep it thriving and alive. Ramon Chavez Street, located in Barangay 29, is one such vital artery in our city. The news of its rehabilitation, specifically the drainage system, is a testament to our city's commitment to progress and development. This blog post will provide an in-depth understanding of the temporary traffic scheme set to be implemented during this project.

The project, titled "Rehabilitation of Drainage System along Ramon Chavez Street," is a necessary undertaking to ensure the longevity of our city's infrastructure. Spanning 103 meters and set to last for 60 calendar days, this initiative will temporarily alter the traffic scheme in an effort to facilitate smooth and efficient construction.

The initial phase of this project will involve a temporary half lane road and unpaved sidewalk closure along Ramon Chavez Street. This closure will extend from Corrales Avenue to Avida Towers Spira Entrance, covering 35 meters and lasting for 20 calendar days.

The second phase will see an extension of the temporary half lane road and unpaved sidewalk closure from Avida Towers Spira Entrance up to Galaxy Residence. This phase will also cover 33 meters and will be in effect for another 20 calendar days.

The final phase will continue the half lane road and unpaved sidewalk closure along Ramon Chavez Street. This phase will cover the stretch from Galaxy Residence gate up to P. Aguinaldo Street, spanning 35 meters and in effect for the remaining 20 calendar days.

Since road and sidewalk closures are bound to disrupt traffic flow, temporary no parking rules will be enforced along specific areas. This includes both sides of Ramon Chavez Street from Corrales Avenue to Aguinaldo Street, and along Aguinaldo Street from Maharlika Balik Islam Da'wah Foundation to Ramon Chavez Street.

In addition to the aforementioned areas, temporary no parking will also be enforced along Corrales Avenue, specifically from (SAF) International Services Inc., to POP’s Eat all U can. This measure is necessary to ensure a harmonious flow of traffic during the project's implementation.

The RTA plays a crucial role in maintaining order during the project’s implementation. They are permitted to make immediate adjustments to the traffic scheme as necessary, ensuring that the flow of traffic remains as smooth and efficient as possible.

The success of this project lies not just in the hands of the responsible authorities, but also in the cooperation of the public. Understanding and adherence to these temporary changes is crucial for the smooth functioning of the rehabilitation process.

The rehabilitation of Ramon Chavez Street's drainage system is a testament to our city's commitment towards progress. With every citizen's cooperation and understanding, we can navigate these temporary changes and look forward to a more robust and efficient drainage system for our city.

Please be guided, and let's work together for the betterment of our city.
