Thanks to a groundbreaking Memorandum Of Agreement (MOA) between the provincial government and Mindanao State University (MSU) of Naawan, this dream is closer than ever before. So, buckle up as we dive into the details of this thrilling development!

First things first, let's talk about the big news: the MOA between the provincial government and MSU-Naawan has been FORMALLY signed. This isn't just any agreement; it's the one that paves the way for the opening of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing course in our beloved venue. Imagine the possibilities!

The signing of this agreement marks a significant milestone for Misamisnons. It's not just about introducing a new course; it's about creating opportunities, fostering growth, and building a brighter future for everyone involved. The excitement is palpable, and for a good reason!

Now, let's talk money. The province's support for financial assistance of six (P6,000,000) million pesos was accompanied by this agreement. That’s right, folks—six million big ones! This generous funding ensures that Misamisnons can avail its first batch of future nurses without any hitches.

Big thanks to Gov. Peter “Sr. Pedro” Unabia for this incredible initiative. This all originated from a resolution in the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)- MisOr. It's heartwarming to see our leaders taking such proactive steps to ensure the betterment of our community. Gov. Unabia, you're the man!

In a recent announcement, MSU-Naawan Chancellor Dr. Elnor C. Roa revealed that this initiative is a great help to the health sector, especially in ensuring quality education in the province. Dr. Roa's enthusiasm is contagious, and it's easy to see why. This program is set to uplift the standards of healthcare education, which is something we can all get behind.

Dr. Roa also added that MSU-Naawan is still accepting applications for enrollment in this course in line with School Year 2024-2025. So, if you're passionate about nursing and want to be part of this historic first batch, now's your chance. Don't let this golden opportunity slip through your fingers!

The signing of the MOA was a momentous occasion, witnessed by some of the most respected figures in our community. Vice Gov. Jigjag Pelaez and Board Members, Iskolar Ko Ng Bayan (IKNB) Head & Provincial Youth and Development Officer Allyn Peñalosa, and MSU-Naawan Campus Secretary Rhoy Castillo were all there to witness history in the making.

Their presence underscored the importance of this agreement and the collective effort required to make it happen. It's a testament to what we can achieve when we come together with a common goal. Kudos to everyone involved!

Last but not least, let's not forget that this initiative is a shining example of Gov. Unabia's PAGLAUM development agenda. Specifically, it falls under the letters A and U for Aggressive programs for youth welfare and development and Unified efforts for health and social services delivery. What a way to bring these goals to life!

The PAGLAUM development agenda is all about creating a better future for our youth and ensuring top-notch health and social services. This MOA is a step in the right direction, bringing us closer to achieving these admirable goals. It’s exciting to think about what the future holds!

So, there you have it, folks—a new dawn is breaking for Misamis Oriental with the formal signing of the MOA for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing course at MSU-Naawan. With six million pesos in financial assistance, the unwavering support of our leaders, and the collective enthusiasm of our community, the future looks brighter than ever.

If you're dreaming of a career in nursing, now is the time to act. Apply for enrollment, be part of this historic first batch, and help us build a healthier, stronger community. Here's to new beginnings and endless possibilities!

Celebrating Success: The Iskolar 'Ko Ng Bayan (IKNB) PAGLAUM Scholarship Program

COURTESY: The Official page of Peter "Sr.Pedro Unabia", ang PAGLAUM sa Misamis Oriental

Hey there, fellow knowledge enthusiasts! Today, I am super excited to share some fantastic news that’s bound to warm your hearts and fuel your passion for education. Drum roll, please… Misamis Oriental is thrilled to announce the release of educational assistance for the beneficiaries of the Iskolar 'Ko Ng Bayan (IKNB) PAGLAUM scholarship program. This incredible initiative is in collaboration with the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) and showcases our unwavering commitment to empowering our youth. Let’s dive into the details, shall we?

First things first, let’s talk about the heart and soul of this initiative – the PAGLAUM scholarship program. This isn’t just any scholarship; it’s a beacon of hope for countless students eager to make a difference. Misamis Oriental is pulling out all the stops to ensure our young scholars have everything they need to succeed academically and beyond.

The collaboration with the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) underscores our dedication to nurturing talent and paving the way for future leaders. It’s not just about financial assistance; it’s about creating opportunities and fostering an environment where students can thrive. We’re not just supporting education; we’re investing in the future of our community.

Now, let’s get into some numbers because they’re pretty impressive. A whopping 333 beneficiaries from the Municipalities of Libertad and Initao, along with 257 scholars from the Municipality of Naawan, have received their well-deserved educational assistance. That’s a total of 590 bright minds, each with dreams, aspirations, and the drive to make a difference.

This support isn’t just about handing out funds; it’s about ensuring our scholars have the resources they need to excel in their academic pursuits. Whether it’s covering tuition fees, buying textbooks, or even providing a little extra for those late-night study snacks, the PAGLAUM scholarship program is here to make a difference. And trust me, it’s doing just that!

Alright, let’s shift gears for a moment and talk about the bigger picture. Our efforts aren’t just about individual success stories; they’re about driving significant change in our community. One of our overarching goals is achieving Single Digit Poverty Incidence (SDPI) in Misamis Oriental. And guess what? Education plays a massive role in this mission.

By empowering our youth through education, we’re equipping them with the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty. It’s a ripple effect – one educated individual can uplift an entire family, and in turn, contribute to the overall development of our community. It’s a long-term vision, but every step counts, and the PAGLAUM scholarship program is a giant leap in the right direction.

Before we wrap things up, let’s take a moment to celebrate the real heroes of this story – our scholars. To each of the 590 beneficiaries, congratulations! Your hard work, determination, and commitment to your education are truly inspiring. You are the future leaders, innovators, and changemakers of Misamis Oriental, and we couldn’t be prouder.

And let’s not forget to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making this program a success. From the dedicated staff at PYDO to the supportive families and communities, it takes a village to nurture success, and together, we’re making it happen.

So, there you have it, folks! The Iskolar 'Ko Ng Bayan (IKNB) PAGLAUM scholarship program is more than just an initiative; it’s a movement. As we continue to support our scholars and work towards achieving SDPI, let’s remember that education is the key to unlocking endless possibilities.

Let’s keep pushing forward, nurturing our future leaders, and building a brighter, more prosperous Misamis Oriental. Here’s to education, empowerment, and the incredible journey ahead. Cheers!
