COURTESY: Misamis Oriental Provincial Information Office

Welcome to the world of composting magic happening in Misamis Oriental! If you’ve ever thought about how waste can transform into a treasure chest for local communities, you're in for a treat.
Composting Heroes: Who's Who and What's What

Alright, so here’s the scoop: the Department of Agriculture (DA) Region 10 and the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGRO) have teamed up for something seriously awesome. Together, they’ve rolled out FOUR Composting Facilities for Biodegradable Waste (CFBW). You might be wondering, "Who benefits from these facilities?" Let me tell you, it's quite the lineup! There’s SAFEGCC Inc., Bread Life Family Farm Entrepreneurial School in Dumarait, Balingasag, and even Loving Soils Rural Ventures in Patrocenio, Claveria. Not to forget Mat-I National High School and Healthful Living Inc. in Gingoog City.
These facilities are more than just the sum of their parts—they’re crucial for growing organic vegetables more efficiently. Roberto Jomen III from Healthful Living Inc. has been thrilled about this initiative. According to Roberto, these composting facilities are a game-changer in speeding up vegetable production and enhancing quality. "It's like we’ve got a secret superpower for our soil!" he exclaimed.
From Ceremony to Impact: Setting the Stage for a Greener Future

Transitioning from the who and what to the excitement of it all: The turnover ceremony was a big deal. Held at the Provincial Capitol with much fanfare during the weekly national flag raising, it was attended by Governor Juliette Uy, who couldn’t help but reflect on the province’s agricultural priorities. She emphasized that boosting the local economy and providing better livelihoods for farmers are key goals of the BANGON strategic agenda. Smart move, Governor!
Not only does this initiative align with the Bureau of Soils and Water Management program, but it also promises nearly nine hundred thousand pesos worth of benefits—talk about a win-win! These facilities generate organic fertilizers, improve soil health, and offer a sustainable boost to both rural and urban farming communities. Isn't it amazing how something so basic as composting can lead to a ripple effect of positive changes?
So, Misamis Oriental residents, next time you see a composting facility in action, give yourselves a pat on the back! You're part of a heartening journey towards greener pastures, proving that indeed, where there's waste, there's a way!

Alright, folks, hold on to your hats because Lalawigan is about to get a massive upgrade in agriculture! Thanks to Governor Peter “Sr Pedro” Unabia, the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGRO) has just invested **Three Million Pesos** into state-of-the-art agricultural drones. Yep, you heard that right – drones. These aren’t your typical toy drones; these bad boys are designed to take our farming game to the next level.

These high-tech drones are part of Sr Pedro’s vision to modernize the agriculture sector here in Lalawigan. Imagine this: drones zipping around the fields, taking care of all the hard work. Sounds like a sci-fi movie, but it’s happening right here, right now!

So, what exactly can these drones do? Well, they're not just for show. These drones can apply fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides in the fields. Talk about multitasking! According to PAGRO Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Division Chief Engr. Evy Elago, these drones will make the application of farming inputs a breeze. No more backbreaking labor, reduced labor costs, and faster crop production – now that’s efficiency.

Imagine covering a hectare of crops in just seven minutes! Whether it’s coconut, coffee, cocoa, bamboo, rice, or corn, these drones have got it covered. It’s like having a super-efficient, flying farmhand.

Engr. Evy Elago is over the moon about this new development. She’s grateful to Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” Unabia for his unwavering support. This isn’t just about fancy gadgets; it’s about making life easier for our farmers. With these drones, farmers can focus on what they do best – growing crops – without worrying about the tedious and time-consuming tasks.

But wait, there's more! The training for PAGRO employees on how to properly use and operate these drones has already started. This ensures that everyone is on the same page and can make the most out of this incredible technology.

This drone project is just one part of Governor Unabia’s PAGLAUM Development Agenda, specifically under the “A” for Agriculture Development for Poverty Eradication. It’s all about using modern technology to eradicate poverty and uplift the lives of our farmers. It’s not just about today; it’s about securing a better future for everyone in Lalawigan.

So, keep an eye out for those drones buzzing over the fields and know that they’re a symbol of progress and innovation. Lalawigan is on the rise, and with these agricultural drones, the sky’s the limit!

In conclusion, the THREE MILLION PESOS AGRICULTURAL DRONES IN LALAWIGAN are more than just a technological upgrade – they’re a beacon of hope and progress. Thanks to Governor Peter “Sr Pedro” Unabia and the tireless efforts of the Provincial Agriculture Office, we’re stepping into a future where farming is smarter, faster, and more efficient.

So, here’s to the future of farming in Lalawigan – it’s bright, it’s exciting, and it’s flying high with the help of these incredible drones! Cheers to progress and innovation!
