A Landmark Agreement for Education

On a bright Thursday, October 23, 2025, history unfolded in the world of education within Misamis Oriental. The **MOA SIGNING SA PGMO UG MSU-NAAWAN CAMPUS** was officially *gipahigayon*, marking a significant partnership between the Mindanao State University – Naawan Campus and the provincial government. This Memorandum of Agreement opens doors for students of MSU-Naawan to participate in the **Hospital Immersion Program** across eight provincial hospitals.
Through this initiative, learners—particularly in the fields of *Health Services* and *Social Work*—will gain real-world, hands-on experience. By being immersed in actual hospital environments, they can apply their academic knowledge to practical situations, thus sharpening both their skills and confidence. This fusion of theory and practice creates a strong foundation, preparing them for their future careers.
A Commitment to Students’ Growth

The gratitude expressed by MSU-Naawan Campus Chancellor Prof. Elnor C. Roa to Governor Juliette Uy was heartfelt. Chancellor Roa emphasized that Governor Uy’s support is not just a political gesture but a sincere investment in the youth. Such commitment paves the way for empowerment, enabling students to reach their dreams while becoming active contributors to positive change in society.

Governor Juliette Uy’s administration has long championed the cause of education. One of her top priorities is ensuring that students have the necessary opportunities to grow—not only academically but also in terms of character and professional readiness. This MOA is a perfect embodiment of that vision, a bridge connecting classroom learning with the realities of public service and health care.

**In Summary:** The **MOA SIGNING SA PGMO UG MSU-NAAWAN CAMPUS** is more than an agreement—it’s a promise to nurture the next generation of professionals. By combining resources, knowledge, and community spirit, this collaboration prepares students to become catalysts for transformation, one hospital visit at a time.

Transforming the Future: The 2.5 Billion JVA for Misamis Oriental Capitol Compound Development

In the heart of Mindanao, a pivotal agreement has been forged, marking the dawn of a new era for the Misamis Oriental Capitol Compound. This ambitious undertaking, a joint venture agreement (JVA) between the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental (PGMO) and A Brown Company, Inc., is valued at Php 2.5 Billion. Its primary objective is to metamorphose the provincial capitol into a beacon of progressive development, fostering both economic and social growth.

A Vision of Progress

The cornerstone of this development is a meticulously crafted Master Development Plan, which promises a transformative impact on the region. The initial phase is poised to revolutionize the landscape with the construction of modern offices integrated with a commercial and shopping hub. These facilities are designed not only to cater to governmental needs but also to offer a vibrant space for commerce and leisure.

Moreover, the inclusion of a park and parking amenities underscores a commitment to creating a harmonious blend of nature and urban convenience. This phase sets the foundational structure for subsequent developments, ensuring a holistic approach to regional advancement.

Expanding Horizons with Phase Two

Transitioning into the second phase, the focus shifts to the elevation of infrastructure and living standards. The development of a multilevel mixed-use building is central to this phase. This structure is projected to house diverse functionalities, including commercial spaces, residential units, and a dormitory. Such a design not only maximizes space but also fosters a self-sustaining community within the compound.

The introduction of residential accommodations is a strategic move to attract a workforce that will fuel the province's economic engine. By providing affordable housing options, the JVA aims to create a thriving community that lives, works, and plays within the same vicinity. This integrated living model is anticipated to enhance productivity and quality of life for its residents.

Legislative and Corporate Synergy

The success of this venture is underpinned by robust legislative and corporate frameworks. The Provincial Council, through Provincial Ordinance No. 1613-2024, has provided the legal endorsement necessary for this transformative endeavor. This ordinance highlights the government's proactive approach in securing a prosperous future for its constituents.

On the corporate front, the Board of Directors of A Brown Company, Inc. has empowered its President to execute the agreement, as indicated in the Philippine Stock Exchange Disclosure Form 4-30. This corporate commitment is a testament to the confidence in the project's potential to deliver substantial returns on investment and community benefits.

Witnessing a Historic Milestone

The signing ceremony was a momentous occasion, attended by a diverse array of stakeholders. Among the dignitaries were Mr. Robertino Pizarro, President of A Brown Company, and their legal counsel, Atty. Antonio Soriano. The presence of Vice Governor Jeremy Jonahmar “Jigjag” Pelaez and members of the Misamis Oriental Department Heads Association (MODHA) underscored the project's importance to the local government.

Additionally, the event garnered support from honorable mayors of Misamis Oriental, as well as prominent businessmen and financial institutions. This wide-ranging endorsement signifies a shared vision for a future where public and private sectors unite to drive regional prosperity.

Building a Brighter Future

The 2.5 Billion JVA for the Misamis Oriental Capitol Compound is more than a development project; it is a testament to the power of collaboration and vision. Through this joint venture, the province is poised to become a hub of innovation, economic vitality, and social progress. The project's phased approach ensures that each development milestone builds upon the last, creating a sustainable and dynamic environment for all stakeholders.

As this endeavor unfolds, it promises to not only transform the physical landscape but also to inspire a new narrative of growth and opportunity for Misamis Oriental. The journey ahead is one of hope and ambition, setting a precedent for future developments in the region.
