This is the ongoing construction project of the new Land Transportation Office (LTO) District Office building. A recent progress report from DPWH Regional Office 11 Director, Juby B. Cordon, revealed an optimistic outlook. With 85% of the construction already completed, the project is well on its way to meeting its target completion date within the second quarter of 2024.



The DPWH Davao Occidental District Engineering Office (DEO) is the driving force behind the construction of this vital establishment, with a budget of P19.79 million. This collaborative effort between DPWH and LTO aims to enhance the provision of land transportation services to the populace.



Strategically situated along Barangay Felis Road, the new LTO building is set to become a prominent landmark in Malita town. The location was chosen for its accessibility, ensuring that the services of the LTO are within easy reach of the local community.



The two-storey building covers a total area of 970 square meters, split evenly between the ground and second floors. The expansive space is meticulously designed to provide ample room for LTO personnel to perform their duties effectively, ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction process for the public.



Upon completion, the building will be home to various rooms, offices, and common amenities that will cater to the needs of LTO staff and clients alike. Spaces have been designated for the application and renewal of driver’s licenses, motor vehicle registration, and other essential land transportation services.
