PMMA-CDO finds new home in Cugman Integrated School, backed by Cong. Rufus Rodriguez. As the main author who pushed for the establishment of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy - Cagayan de Oro Campus through RA 11782, Cong. Rufus Rodriguez met with PMMA regional officers. 

He connected with OIC-School Head Capt. Nathan Luga, Mr. Romeo Yacapin, and Ms. Christine Sylvie Silva. Together, they celebrated key developments. 

From Online Waves to Solid Ground

Transitioning smoothly, the campus wrapped up online classes at Xavier University and moved to its fresh spot via a solid MOA. Two batches of grads already made waves—the first 12 pioneers head to Zambales as second-years, while 31 more join on June 20, 2026. 

Cong. Rufus stepped up big time, handing over P20K for fixes and transport vehicles to haul equipment. He also pledged ongoing DSWD support for students from indigenous and marginalized communities. What a boost for maritime futures!
