The Generous Handover

PLDT and Smart Communications Inc. rocked the Provincial Capitol on Thursday, June 25, 2026, with an awesome AI-IN-A-BOX PACKAGE DONATED TO PLDT & SMART IN THE CAPITOL. They handed over a laptop, smartphone, SMART 5G WiFi device, and a full year of ChatGPT Premium.  

Robby Alampay, PLDT’s Public Engagement Head, shared their vision to empower local governments through AI and new technology.

Lahat tayo gumagamit na ng AI, so leaders must now tackle it strategically. AI-in-a-Box is an initiative of PLDT & Smart Communications Inc. to help people use Artificial Intelligence productively for work and businesses.  

Selected Capitol employees already completed their first training last month. PMIS Head Candido Balaba thanked the donors warmly, while PMIS keeps the gear to boost staff training. This move perfectly supports Governor Juliette Uy’s BANGON agenda for faster, transparent government services.
