Sparking Scholarly Fire in Iligan
MSU-IIT just dropped a game-changer on May 13 by launching its University Press. Chancellor Prof. Alizedney M. Ditucalan proudly declared the move shows the school doesn't just consume knowledge—it produces and stewards it. Moreover, this affirms MSU-IIT's power in shaping talks on Mindanao Studies, peace work, and community research.
The press actively pushes science, technology, humanities, and arts forward. It grounds stories in local realities while joining bigger national and global conversations.
Empowering Mindanao Voices
Director Prof. Primitivo III Ragandang drives the vision hard. He wants Mindanao not merely as data sources but as creators of monographs and journals owned by local scholars. Furthermore, the team focuses first on building advisory boards and structured book series.
Mentorship programs now help young researchers turn theses into real books. Prof. Honeylet E. Dumoran adds that the press will release monographs, textbooks, journals, and creative works. This boosts MSU-IIT's top ranking in Mindanao and backs national innovation goals under President Marcos Jr.
