On Friday, October 9, 2026, Barangay Molugan buzzed with excitement. Local leaders gathered to break ground on a P20 million pedestrian overpass that residents have long hoped for.

Deputy Speaker Bambi Emano led the ceremony, and city officials, clergy, and police joined him. Together, they celebrated a milestone that will change daily life in the community.

Crossing a busy highway worries many families. Students, workers, and vendors dodge speeding vehicles every day, so this overpass promises real relief for them.

Moreover, it will protect lives. Parents can walk their children to school with less fear, and drivers can travel more smoothly along the road.

Mayor Edgar Lignes and the local board members showed strong support for the project. Meanwhile, the parish priests offered prayers and blessings for the work ahead.

Police officials also attended and kept the event orderly. Clearly, safety belongs to everyone, and the community owns this effort with pride.

Now, construction begins. Residents can expect steady progress, and soon they will climb the stairs toward safer journeys every day.

Ultimately, this project shows service in action. Stay tuned, because more improvements may follow soon.
