Big news from Northern Mindanao! The **Cagayan de Oro Philippines Temple** — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' second temple on the island — is inching closer to completion.
Sitting along Rosario Limketkai Avenue in Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, the structure has transformed the skyline since its August 2024 groundbreaking.
First announced back in 2018, the project has moved steadily forward. Consequently, what was once an empty lot now stands as a two-story, nearly 18,500-square-foot sacred space.
Meanwhile, crews continue refining the finer details, and aerial shots reveal just how far the hardscaping and landscaping have progressed.
Spanning 4.9 acres, the site blends thoughtful design with functional elegance. Every paver and planted tree, therefore, adds to its quiet beauty.
Local drone photographers have been capturing the transformation, giving Kagay-anons an exciting bird's-eye view of progress.
An open house will follow before dedication, so anticipation is building fast. Ultimately, this temple will serve families across MisOr and beyond.
