In the heart of Misamis Oriental, a clarion call has been raised. With dengue cases on the rise, the community has come together in an unprecedented show of unity and determination. We, the people of Misamis Oriental, have taken a continuous and decisive step to address the increasing threat of dengue in our beloved province. Recognizing the urgent need for a coordinated and comprehensive response, we have launched a series of initiatives that bring together local government leaders, health workers, and communities.

One of the cornerstones of our strategy is the active involvement of every citizen. We understand that the fight against dengue is not just the responsibility of a few but a shared commitment. From the bustling towns to the serene barangays, everyone has a role to play. This united action is our strongest weapon in combating this growing health threat.

Education is a powerful tool in the fight against dengue. To this end, we organized a Dengue Symposium aimed at increasing awareness and preparedness among our residents. The symposium covered critical topics such as dengue prevention, early detection, and proper treatment. Our goal is to empower every citizen with the knowledge they need to protect themselves and their families.

The symposium was more than just a series of lectures. It was an interactive platform where residents could ask questions, share their experiences, and learn from experts. We believe that an informed community is a resilient community. By arming our people with the right information, we are building a strong defense against dengue.

Our Provincial Health Office has been at the forefront of this battle, coordinating efforts and bringing together key stakeholders. A Dengue Forum was convened, gathering all the Municipal and City Mayors of Misamis Oriental. The forum served as a platform to discuss the dengue situation in the province and strategize on unified actions to curb the rising cases.

Additionally, our Provincial Health Office conducted a coordinative meeting with the Rural Health Unit (RHU) and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Office (MDRRMO) to LGUs with high dengue cases. The meeting focused on streamlining our efforts to ensure a swift and effective response to dengue outbreaks. By working together, we are making sure that no corner of Misamis Oriental is left vulnerable.

To ensure that our efforts reach every corner of Misamis Oriental, we have activated Barangay Dengue Task Forces. These task forces play a crucial role in monitoring and responding to dengue cases at the barangay level. They are our eyes and ears on the ground, ensuring that every case is reported and addressed promptly.

Moreover, we are distributing Insecticide-Treated Screens (ITS) to barangays and public schools, providing an additional layer of protection against mosquito bites, particularly for our children. These screens are a simple yet effective measure to keep our young ones safe, especially in areas where mosquito presence is high.

The fight against dengue is a shared responsibility. We urge every resident of Misamis Oriental to embrace these initiatives and actively participate in our dengue prevention efforts. Together, we can build a healthier, safer province, free from the threat of dengue. Let us stand united, vigilant, and proactive in protecting our communities.

Misamis Oriental’s future depends on our actions today. By working together, we can ensure that our province remains a place where every Misamisnon can thrive in good health. Our collective efforts today will shape the health and well-being of our community for generations to come.

In conclusion, the battle against dengue in Misamis Oriental is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together. It is a story of resilience, unity, and hope. As we move forward, let us continue to support one another, stay informed, and take proactive steps to protect our community. Together, we can overcome this challenge and emerge stronger than ever.
