Alright, folks! Let's talk about something super exciting happening in CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY. The Phividec Industrial Authority (IA) is throwing a huge three-day open house from June 19–22, and it's going to be epic! Imagine a massive industrial show-and-tell, but way cooler. This event is all about celebrating the contributions of local and international businesses, showcasing their awesome products, and attracting even more investors to the vibrant Phividec Industrial Estate.

According to Lawyer Joseph Donato Bernedo, the Phividec IA CEO and administrator, this open house is not just about the products; it's a massive social shindig to commemorate the 50th anniversary of PHIVIDEC. And trust me, you don't want to miss this!

Let's dive into the big names making this event a blockbuster. We're talking about heavyweights like Mindanao International Container Terminal Services Incorporated, Philippines Shell Petroleum Corporation, and STEAG State Power Incorporated. And that's just the beginning! Companies like Phoenix Petroleum Corporation, San Miguel Brewery Incorporated, Nutrimax Fresh-Baked Incorporated, and Philippine Sinter Corporation are also joining the party.

But wait, there's more! Jacobi Carbons Philippines Incorporated, Corbox Corporation, Limketkai Manufacturing Corporation, Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC) Misamis Power Corporation, and many others are here to flaunt their stuff. The Tagoloan Polymedic General Hospital and the European Chamber of Powers of the Philippines are also making an appearance. It's like the Avengers of the industrial world, coming together for one epic event.

Established back in 1974 through Presidential Decree No. 538, Phividec IA has been a cornerstone of industrial development in rural areas. For the past five decades, this authority has been a powerhouse in driving socio-economic growth across the countryside. They’ve been busy acquiring land, developing infrastructure, attracting businesses, and providing top-notch administrative and operational support.

Right now, Phividec boasts 59 registered company locators, with 50 being local and nine foreign. Plus, they have a robust network of over 200 service providers backing them up. Talk about a well-oiled machine!

Bernedo is all about looking forward. He emphasized Phividec IA’s commitment to attracting further investment and highlighted some seriously cool ongoing projects. Think expansion of the Mindanao Container Terminal, launching a bulk water project, developing 5,000 socialized housing units, and pushing for renewable energy investments. It's all about sustainable progress and modern infrastructure.

“As we advance into a new era, our infrastructure must evolve to support sustainable growth,” Bernedo said. This means everything from upgrading transportation networks and improving digital connectivity to ensuring access to clean water and energy. By investing in modern infrastructure, Phividec is laying the groundwork for long-term success.

The PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate Misamis Oriental Industries Association (PIE-MO-IA) is all in, giving their full support to PHIVIDEC’s initiatives. Analiza Miso from FDC Misamis Power Corporation, a PIE-MO-IA member, highlighted PHIVIDEC’s successful journey and its resilience over the years. “The 50th anniversary is a testament that PHIVIDEC has thrived and grown from all its challenges,” she said.

Miso also expressed gratitude for the support extended to the estate’s locators and service providers, appreciating PHIVIDEC IA’s active contributions to societal betterment. “We are also grateful that our respective companies contributed to attaining PHIVIDEC’s vision and mission,” she added.

So, there you have it. PHIVIDEC’s open house is not just an event; it’s a celebration of industrial excellence, innovation, and a bright future ahead. If you're in CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, don’t miss out on this incredible showcase of industrial prowess and community spirit!
