Meanwhile, crews stripped away the pier cap formwork from the double-pier foundation at Pier 13. Removing formwork means the concrete cured perfectly and the structure looks rock-solid. These steps bring the whole crossing closer to reality for drivers tired of the old routes.

This bridge forms a key piece of the 7.88 km CDO New Western Diversion Road plus the Punta Macabalan Coastal Bypass Road.
