The modernization plan includes the construction of a brand-new teirminal building and the extension and widening of the runway, making it capable of accommodating larger aircraft and increased traffic flow.  

The development package is as comprehensive as it is strategic. It features the ₱30 million continuation of the concreting of the apron, the ₱285.30 million Ozamiz Airport Development Project (Phase 1), a ₱223.60 million expansion for the passenger terminal building (Phase 1), and significant runway enhancements with ₱225 million allotted for asphalt overlay and ₱230 million for shoulder grade correction. Each step strengthens the airport’s role as a vital gateway to Mindanao. 

Fueling Economic Growth and Tourism

With prior site acquisition hurdles now addressed and additional funding secured, the project is firmly on track. **Governor Henry Oaminal**, **Rep. Ando Oaminal**, and **Rep. Indy Oaminal** remain steadfast in steering this monumental effort forward.
