So, guess what? ANOTHER round of art exhibit opened at the City Museum! This time, it's in celebration of National Heritage Month. The Cagayan De Oro City Museum and Heritage Studies Center kicked things off on Tuesday, May 29. You can find all the artistic action at the Annex Building of the City Museum. It's a feast for the eyes!

The exhibit is called "Heritage Reimagined: Translating Our Past to the Future," and it features an eclectic mix of works by 10 local artists. Each artist brings something unique to the table, giving visitors a glimpse of how our past can influence our future. Big shoutout to John Asuncion, the overseer of the City Museum and Heritage Studies Center, and of course, the talented local artists. We can't forget the Kagay-an Misamis Creative Council for their constant support. You guys rock!

The opening was a big hit. The Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Tourism Region 10 were both represented, with Regional Director Marie Elaine Unchuan in attendance. How cool is that? It’s always great to see such high-profile support for local art.

City Councilor Jay Roa Pascual, representing Mayor Rolando Klarex Uy, also made an appearance. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to everyone who supported the movement, emphasizing the importance of cultural preservation. It’s inspiring to see leaders who genuinely care about our heritage. Kudos to you, Councilor!

Now, let's talk about the stars of the show—the artists! The exhibit features a diverse array of works, from traditional paintings to modern sculptures. Each piece tells a story, inviting viewers to explore the rich tapestry of our collective heritage. The artists have poured their hearts and souls into their creations, and it shows.

One artist, in particular, caught my eye. Her name is Maria Santos, and her piece titled "Echoes of the Past" is a stunning blend of old and new. She uses traditional techniques but incorporates modern elements, creating a visual dialogue between generations. It's a must-see!

If you haven't visited yet, what are you waiting for? The art exhibit will be open until July this year, giving you plenty of time to soak in the creativity. The City Museum and Heritage Studies Center Annex Building is the place to be. Trust me; you don't want to miss this!

Whether you're an art aficionado or just someone looking for something fun to do, this exhibit has something for everyone. So, grab your friends, family, or even go solo—just make sure you go. You'll leave feeling inspired and with a deeper appreciation for our cultural heritage.

In conclusion, the "Heritage Reimagined: Translating Our Past to the Future" art exhibit is a testament to the incredible talent and dedication of our local artists. It's a celebration of our past, present, and future, all rolled into one. So, mark your calendars and head over to the City Museum. You won't regret it!

Misamis Oriental is buzzing with excitement as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-10 ramps up its efforts to transform the province's infrastructure landscape. From new roads to comprehensive monitoring systems, the province is on a fast track to modernization. Let's dive into the details of these ROAD & INFRA PROJECTS FOCUSED WITH THE MONITORING OF THE PROVINCIAL POWER AND DPWH-10.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Region 10 recently showcased their unwavering support for Misamis Oriental. In a vibrant press conference titled "Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas," Regional Director Engr. Zenaida Tan and her colleagues revealed some exciting news.
As of April 30th this year, there are over 1,472 ongoing infrastructure projects in the province. Among these, thirteen projects, valued at around sixty-four million pesos, have already been released. This announcement was met with enthusiasm and optimism by the local community.

One of the most anticipated projects is the Mis Or-CDO-Opol-El Salvador-Alubijid-Laguindingan Airport Mountain Diversion Road. Currently, more than five kilometers of this road have been concreted. This new route promises to significantly ease traffic and improve connectivity to the Laguindingan Airport, a critical hub in the region.

Another major project is the Malaybalay-Gingoog road. This road will connect Bukidnon and Tagoloan Misamis Oriental, linking the province to Bukidnon and Agusan del Norte. The Impasug-ong boundary Bukidnon (Siloo)-Misamis Oriental (Eureka) road is also in the works, promising smoother travel and faster access.

These projects are not just about bricks and mortar; they are aligned with the PAGLAUM development agenda of Gov. Peter "Sr. Pedro" Unabia. The letter "P" in PAGLAUM stands for participatory governance, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in these transformative projects.

With participatory governance at the core, local residents and stakeholders are actively engaged in the planning and execution of these infrastructure projects. This collaborative approach ensures that the projects meet the needs and aspirations of the community.

It's not just about building new roads; it's also about ensuring that these projects are executed efficiently and transparently. That's where the monitoring of the provincial power and DPWH-10 comes into play.

Advanced monitoring systems are being implemented to track the progress of these projects in real-time. This ensures accountability and allows for timely interventions if any issues arise. The goal is to ensure that every peso spent translates into tangible benefits for the community.

In conclusion, the ROAD & INFRA PROJECTS FOCUSED WITH THE MONITORING OF THE PROVINCIAL POWER AND DPWH-10 are set to transform Misamis Oriental. With a strong commitment from DPWH-10, active community involvement, and robust monitoring systems, the future looks bright for the province. Stay tuned as we witness these exciting developments unfold!
