Big news for island hoppers: access to Misamis Occidental just got easier! Plaridel officially welcomed the maiden voyage of OceanJet, and the new sea route now connects the town to Siquijor and Bohol.
First, picture the scene. Plaridel opened its doors to the vessel with open arms and plenty of excitement. Moreover, the occasion marked a major milestone for sea travel in the region.
Travelers can now hop between neighboring island provinces without the usual hassle. As a result, planning a getaway feels simpler than ever.
Of course, this success didn't happen by accident. OceanJet, represented by Bryan Lua, Vice President of Operations for the Marine Division, teamed up with the LGU of Plaridel, led by Mayor Gadwin Handumon.
Meanwhile, First District Representative Jason Almonte and the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental, headed by Governor Henry S. Oaminal, lent their strong support. Likewise, the Philippine Ports Authority, through Engr. Salvador Delina, helped make the route a reality.
Furthermore, this route improves regional access between Visayas and Mindanao. Locals gain easier travel options, and visitors gain a fresh way to explore.
Plaridel and Misamis Occidental now join the list of must-see destinations. So grab your travel buddies, book your seats, and sail toward your next adventure!
