From CDO to Mindanao
MASS-SPECC CELEBRATES 60TH ANNIVERSARY as the Mindanao Alliance of Self-Help Societies – Southern Philippines Educational Cooperative Center marked its 60th Diamond Jubilee on Aug. 10.
Founded on August 9, 1966 in Cagayan de Oro by Mordino R. Cua and Aquilino Pimentel Sr., MASS-SPECC started with simple cooperative lectures. Over time, it became a pioneering federation.
A Legacy That Keeps Growing
Today, MASS-SPECC stands as Mindanao’s largest regional co-operative federation. Moreover, it continues supporting financial inclusion, education, and community empowerment.
Meanwhile, its advocacy reaches further, promoting gender and development, youth empowerment, environmental protection, agriculture, and health and wellness. After 60 years, MASS-SPECC proves that cooperation can create lasting change.
