Picture this: a Philippine agency just soared past global competition and claimed the top aviation prize. The PPP Center of the Philippines bagged the Philippines PPP of the Year – Aviation award at the GovMedia Awards 2026 in Singapore.
Judges praised their hands-on support that turned a complex unsolicited proposal into a signed 30-year deal with Aboitiz InfraCapital.
Moreover, that deal upgrades Laguindingan International Airport and more than doubles its annual passenger capacity to 3.9 million. The PPP Center guided every step—from evaluation and negotiations to award—and set a new benchmark under the PPP Code.
As a result, Northern Mindanao now gains stronger tourism, trade, and growth while the Center keeps driving more people-centered projects nationwide.
