On June 2, 2025, a significant milestone in employee healthcare was achieved as City Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy, alongside Vice Mayor Jocelyn 'Bebot' Rodriguez, led the formal opening of the City Hall Clinic and Pharmacy. This facility, exclusively designed for city hall employees, demonstrates a proactive approach to promoting health and wellness in the workplace. The clinic is strategically located in the basement of the tourism hall, ensuring easy access for all employees.

The City Hall Clinic aims to address the healthcare needs of city hall workers by providing free health services. With a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff, the clinic stands ready to assist employees facing health challenges. Furthermore, the availability of essential medications, including those for hypertension, blood sugar management, and pain relief, underscores the facility's commitment to comprehensive care. This initiative signifies a collaborative effort between the Local Government Unit of Cagayan de Oro (LGU-CDO) and the City Health Insurance Office, with significant backing from the JR Borja General Hospital and the City Health Office.

Enhancing Health Accessibility and Support

The inauguration of the City Hall Clinic and Pharmacy marks a noteworthy advancement in employee support and health accessibility. By providing free medical services, the city hall not only prioritizes the physical well-being of its employees but also fosters a supportive work environment. This initiative reflects an understanding of the critical role that health plays in employee productivity and overall job satisfaction.

As the demands of modern work life can often lead to stress and health issues, the establishment of this clinic provides a much-needed sanctuary for city hall employees. They can now receive timely treatment without the burden of financial strain. Moreover, the initiative embodies the city government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its workforce, ensuring that employees have the necessary resources at their disposal to maintain their health and well-being. This pioneering step is a testament to the leadership of Mayor Klarex and Vice Mayor Bebot, as they champion the cause of health equity within the local government setting.
