The Bureau of Customs – Port of Cagayan de Oro, led by Atty. Manuel O. Zurbito Jr., proudly keeps its ISO 9001:2015 certification. They aced the external audit by TÜV SÜD Philippines on July 3, 2026.
Moreover, the team showcased impressive revenue wins, stronger stakeholder ties, and community-boosting initiatives.
Why This Matters Big Time

Auditors spotted six opportunities for improvement and one standout positive observation. They especially loved the port’s revenue generation, engagement efforts, and social responsibility programs.
Consequently, the port continues delivering top-notch customs clearance for imported goods. This success fuels Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno’s vision of integrity, accountability, and modernization.
