We’re in the thick of some construction magic, specifically the concrete pouring for the 2nd of 3 piers in this section. It's like watching a giant puzzle come together, piece by piece. 
Now, this isn’t just any ordinary bridge. It’s going to connect communities, streamline transportation, and make our lives just a little easier. How cool is that? As the concrete pours, it’s hard not to imagine all the folks that will soon traverse this beautiful structure. You can almost hear the chatter and see the smiles of people crossing from one side to the other. It’s a step towards a better-connected future!

Building Blocks of Progress: The Journey of Construction

So, why is the concrete pouring for the Bonbon-Macabalan Bridge such a big deal? First off, it's a massive milestone in the construction timeline. A Day of Joy and Service: Barangay Macabalan’s People’s Day with Mayor Klarex Uy

A Heartfelt Celebration in the Covered Court

MALIPAYON ang 751 ka molupyo sa Barangay Macabalan human nakadawat sa People’s Day Program ni Mayor Klarex Uy, Oktubre 27, diha mismo sa Barangay Macabalan Covered Court, ning siyudad.  
From the early morning air filled with warm greetings to the sound of laughter echoing through the court, the atmosphere felt alive with hope and unity. The day began with a flag-raising ceremony, led by Barangay Macabalan council under Punong Barangay Saniel Raypon, who warmly welcomed Mayor Klarex Uy alongside the 21st city council and the energetic team from city hall.  

The People’s Day brimmed with services designed to touch lives directly—free medical check-ups, essential medicines, five kilos of rice, wheelchairs, and assistance for community-related inquiries such as scholarships, job applications, late birth registration, and renewal of business permits. Each service station overflowed with residents eager to receive the help they needed, and the smiles spoke louder than words.  

Stories of Gratitude and Courage

Among the hundreds of beneficiaries, one voice stood out—Leonie Narabay. Battling diabetes and already having lost a leg, Leonie’s eyes lit up as she shared her story. She was deeply touched, saying, *"Malipayon ako nga first time, nakatagamtam ko sa serbisyo sa People’s Day. Salamat kaayo sa iyang gihatag nga medical assistance. Daghang Salamat, Mayor Klarex Uy. Dako kini og ikatabang sa akong kahimtang karon."* Her heartfelt message was more than words—it was a reflection of how a single act of kindness can change a life. 

The event wasn’t just about delivering services; it was about showing compassion and solidarity. Alongside Mayor Klarex Uy, notable figures such as City Councilor Atty. Edgar Cabanlas, Dok Paolo Nicolo Gaane, Enrico Salcedo, and Alam Lim graced the event, underscoring the collective commitment to uplifting the barangay. With People’s Day scheduled to visit communities every second to fourth Monday of the month, hope continues to travel from one barangay to another, bringing with it opportunities, assistance, and a shared vision of progress.
