For every lesson learned, every late night graded, and every "Aha!" moment sparked—thank you, teachers! You're the unsung heroes of our society. #TeachersAppreciation #EducationMatters

First off, let’s shine the spotlight on **Pagalungan Elementary School** and its incredible faculty. Under the leadership of **Charito R. Jaraula**, the school embodies dedication and creativity. Charito knows that education is more than just a job; it’s a calling. Alongside her, educators like **Luz L. Macabodbod** and **Rostie C. Napone** work tirelessly, laying down the foundational bricks of learning for our young minds.

These teachers don’t just fill heads with facts; they inspire curiosity and ignite the flames of passion in their students. Seriously, you can see it in the way students interact with the lessons—it's contagious! Their efforts ensure that learning is engaging and fun, making every school day an adventure worth celebrating.

We can’t forget about the phenomenal talents of **Getaldyn E. Pacut**, **Jovelyn C. Malinao**, and **Basilides B. Lomongo**. Let’s also applaud **Mathesa R. Villarin**, **Jonathan Estoquia**, and **Sheryl Lou E. Baal**. They go above and beyond to ensure that every student feels valued and understood. Their commitment is evident in every lesson plan and each student interaction. They remind us that teaching is not just about transferring knowledge; it’s about fostering growth and helping shape character.

As we roll into 2024, there’s a fantastic initiative on the horizon: the **School Supplies Distribution** program! This event is all about helping students gear up for a successful year. Thanks to the hard work of teachers like **Rose S. Cantil**, **Leorenzo Baa**, and **Jose O. Lomongo**, students will have the tools they need to thrive.

Let There Be Light: Solar Street Lights Transform Barangay Gusa

COURTESY: Cong. Rufus Rodriguez

Hey there, fellow night owls and early birds!  Ever wished for brighter and safer streets while strolling in the evening? Well, Cong. Rufus Rodriguez has got your back! He’s been on a mission to light up the streets of different barangays in the city, ensuring that security and visibility are top-notch. And guess what? His latest brainchild is the installation of P10 million solar street lights in Barangay Gusa. Talk about a game-changer!
But what’s so cool about solar street lights? For starters, they’re eco-friendly and reliable even during power outages. Yep, you read that right! These lights run on solar energy, meaning they’ll shine bright no matter what. Imagine walking around your neighborhood and feeling safe, all thanks to these ingenious lights.

Cong. Rufus Rodriguez didn’t just wave a magic wand to make this happen. He rolled up his sleeves and led the groundbreaking ceremony of the P10 million solar street lights project in Barangay Gusa. He wasn’t alone in this endeavor. Local barangay officials, under the leadership of Kap. Marlo Tabac, and the dynamic team from the DPWH 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) were right there with him, turning this dream into reality.

The vibes at the ceremony were nothing short of electric (pun intended). It was a testament to what can be achieved when leaders and communities come together with a shared vision. With Cong. Rufus at the helm, it’s clear that brighter days—or rather, nights—are ahead for Barangay Gusa.

Now, let’s get into the nitty-gritty. Where exactly are these 72 sparkling new solar street light posts going to be installed? Hold onto your hats, folks, because here’s the lowdown:

1. **Cam Hills - Dalan sa Upper Regional Science High School**: A whopping 40 posts will illuminate this area, making those late-night study sessions a breeze.
2. **Purok 11 Gusa**: 10 posts will light up this part of town, ensuring you can walk or drive around safely.
3. **Purok 3 - Banuson**: 12 posts will be placed here, adding a touch of brilliance to the neighborhood.
4. **Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel**: 10 posts will keep this sacred spot glowing, making evening visits serene and safe.

It’s like a well-lit treasure map, guiding you to every corner of Barangay Gusa with ease and security.

Cong. Rufus Rodriguez couldn’t have pulled this off without some stellar support. He’s overflowing with gratitude for the DPWH 2nd DEO, especially under the leadership of District Engineer Jan Paulo Lisondra. Their impeccable project implementation has been nothing short of impressive. It’s teamwork like this that makes such ambitious projects possible.

But wait, there’s more! Cong. Rufus isn’t stopping here. He’s been tirelessly working to secure more funding from the national level to fuel other infrastructure projects in the city’s second district. The man’s on a mission to transform the city, one bright idea at a time. So, keep an eye out for more groundbreaking projects that will elevate the quality of life for everyone.

So, there you have it, folks! The P10 million solar street lights project in Barangay Gusa is more than just an investment in infrastructure—it's a commitment to community safety, environmental sustainability, and a brighter future. With leaders like Cong. Rufus Rodriguez lighting the way, we can all look forward to safer, more beautiful streets. Here’s to brighter nights and even brighter days ahead!

Shaping Minds: A Day at Balingoan College

COURTESY: Gov. Peter "Sr. Pedro" Unabia

Hey there, friends! Let's chat about a recent adventure I had in Misamis Oriental. Picture this: a sunny day, eager students, and an incredible atmosphere at Balingoan College. I was thrilled to join Mayor Aaron Paul S. Unabia and Congressman Christian S. Unabia for a visit that felt more like a community gathering than a formal event. Honestly, who would’ve thought learning could feel this vibrant?

We were on a mission to boost the educational landscape of Misamis Oriental. You know, it’s not just about hitting the books; it’s about creating an environment where everyone can thrive. That's exactly what we set out to highlight during our visit to Balingoan College.

As we strolled around the campus, it was impossible not to notice the passion burning in the hearts of the students and faculty. It’s like you could feel the energy in the air! This visit allowed us to see first-hand how essential institutions like Balingoan College are in shaping the future.

Together with the Mayor and Congressman, we highlighted our commitment to supporting these educational foundations. Education is so much more than textbooks; it's about building bridges to opportunities, fostering talents, and empowering the youth of Misamis Oriental.

Now, let's talk about community development. It’s a topic that often gets tossed around, but seeing it in action is something else entirely. During our visit, we discussed how Balingoan College serves as a pillar for local growth. When young minds flourish, the entire community feels the positive ripple effects.

Investing in education means investing in our future. We're not just putting resources into a school; we're nurturing leaders, innovators, and change-makers who will one day uplift Misamis Oriental. It’s a win-win, right?

So, what’s next for us? Well, we’re more committed than ever to supporting our educational institutions. Our visit to Balingoan College was just the beginning. With the help of driven individuals like Mayor Aaron Paul S. Unabia and Congressman Christian S. Unabia, we’re determined to make a lasting impact.

Together, let’s keep the momentum going! Because when it comes to education, we can’t afford to sit back. The youth of Misamis Oriental deserve the best we can offer. So, here’s to a brighter, smarter, and more empowered future! Cheers!
